On Monday 13 November at Hengist Field Care Home we made a special presentation and gave a huge ‘Thank you’ to our lovely resident Betty for her creativity and kindness at our Home.
One of Betty’s hobbies is making cards for birthdays, Christmas, weddings, anniversaries and graduations, in fact any requests for any occasions, and they are really beautiful.
Betty sells her cards here at Hengist Field, to our team member, residents, relatives and visitors and they have become very well known.
Being the kind-hearted person that Betty is, with the money she makes from her card sales, she always donates a percentage to our Residents’ Fund. She has also been making very pretty poppies, and with the proceeds from her poppy sales, Betty sent a £60 donation to The Royal British Legion.
Our Home Manager Neli made the presentation with a speech and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers to say thank you to Betty. Our team members, management and residents gathered together to congratulate Betty for her wonderful efforts.
