We are delighted to say our pots of Insect Lore caterpillars have arrived at Hengist Field Care Home.
These tiny creatures will eat their way through the contents of their pots over the coming days and we are excited to watch how they develop into chrysalises, and then emerge into beautiful butterflies which we can observe from a special net habitat.
Once we have enjoyed them for a few days, we will set a day to release them and set them free in our garden.
In just a few days, the caterpillars have already grown so much! They are indeed ‘very hungry caterpillars’!
