To celebrate Halloween and to end our week of activities here at Hengist Field Care Home, we had some Halloween fancy dress fun and enjoyed some Halloween reminiscence during our Coffee Morning.
In the afternoon we decorated our Halloween trollies and took them around to our residents offering pumpkin cake, mixed berry punch (with added eyeballs!) and Halloween sweets – jelly brains, false fanged teeth and chocolate eyeballs!
We then picked the winners of our Halloween fancy dress competition:
1st Prize went to Senior Carer Lilly, in her clown/Harlequin costume. She received a tub of Quality Street, Halloween flower bouquet and a bottle of Prosecco.
2nd Prize went to Senior Carer Trish, dressed in her white witch costume and 3rd Prize went to Senior Carer Amy in her Zombie costume. We presented both with chocolates, a small plant in a ceramic pumpkin and a bottle of Prosecco.
Congratulations to them!
We also gave a small gift of chocolates to our lovely residents who also dressed up, which they thought was lovely.
A brilliant day which everyone really enjoyed.
