Our Hengist Field Care Home residents were surprised when we had a visit from a soldier on Armed Forces Day, Saturday 26 June.
One of our staff members is engaged to a member of the British Armed Forces and he happened to be available and more than happy to visit our ladies and gents in our pretty courtyard garden, with COVID rules in place.
During the visit, our residents had the opportunity to ask questions and try on hats and helmets from various uniforms that he had kindly brought with him to show us.
Our Recreation and Well-Being Team would like to thank this amazing young man for his kindness and for sharing his knowledge with our very interested residents and staff.
