Milstead and Frinsted Primary School carols
On Monday 11 December, a group of children from Milstead and Frinsted Primary School came to sing Christmas carols for us and what a wonderful start to our morning it was here at Hengist Field Care Home!
Our residents simply loved it and all of the children interacted with our ladies and gents, having lovely conversations, sharing stories and talking about the creative Hand Christmas Tree that we made together.
Thank you again to Karen, a teacher at the school, for all her help and support to arrange such wonderful times for young and old to come together.
Streaming ‘A Christmas Carol’
Following the festive theme, on Monday afternoon we watched a streaming of Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol‘ on the television, which had been recorded at The Old Vic Theatre in London.
It was another lovely afternoon of festive spirits, mulled wine and mince pies, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
