On Thursday 15 September we held a Cookery Club session to bake for World Alzheimers Month here at Hengist Field Care Home.
We made, cooked and decorated pop cakes and mini doughnuts, (using our 3-in-1 American sweet treat maker!) all decorated with blue icing, sprinkles and a little sugar for our mini doughnuts – as most of us have a bit of a sweet tooth! We also decorated shortbread cookies.
There was plenty of group conversation, intense concentration while decorating, fun, giggles, and of course plenty of tasting going on!
All these delicious goodies went down a treat with everyone at our coffee morning, when we had a selection of 50s songs playing in the background to sing along to.
