Having a wide range of interesting sensory activities and arts and crafts opportunities here at Hengist Field Care Home is important for our residents.
We have a fantastic selection of sensory items on offer which stimulate and engage our ladies and gents and bring a sense of joy, fun and well-being. For touch senses we have our latch boards, plasma ball and ‘Sally Heads’ for hairdressing. To stimulate our ears we enjoy singing birds and sound books. And to bring a great sense of comfort and engagement, we love both our cuddly interactive Dementia Dogs and Pet Therapy Dogs that visit our Home.
Our arts and crafts offerings range from mindful drawing and colouring, diamond art, salt dough crafts, resin art (which is always a big hit!), calligraphy and our popular Cookery Club – all perfect for expressing creativity either individually or as a shared experience.
Everyone likes to pick what they enjoy doing, and as you can see, there really is something for everyone!
