Cookery Club
This week at Hengist Field Care Home we are celebrating World Menopause Day (18 October) and also Breast Cancer Awareness (20 October), so we decided to have a ‘Pink Week’.
On Monday 16 October we made some pink iced and chocolate chip cookies in our Cookery Club, which is always fun and messy, with plenty of laughter!
Once all the cookies had been mixed, rolled and shaped, they were baked and then cooled.
Everyone then enjoyed them with a lovely cuppa. Yum!
Flower arranging
Continuing Pink Week on Tuesday, our residents enjoyed some flower arranging together with some gorgeous fresh blooms.
They also made some pretty pink roses with tissue paper and some pink pom-poms too.
We had so much fun, and they all turned out beautifully – we displayed them around our Home for everyone to admire.
