On Wednesday 9 August here at Hengist Field Care Home, we welcomed a lovely lady to our Home; her name is Christine and she plays the violin, accordion and also sings.
Christine visited our Horsa and Orca communities for most of the morning, where she played Scottish, American and British music on her violin and accordion. She performed fast and slow music and sang a variety of songs including ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow‘, ‘Catch a Falling Star‘ and ‘Fly me to the Moon‘.
Our residents really enjoyed the soft soothing sound of Christine’s violin, and the fast ‘get me going’ music! Christine was very interactive with our ladies and gents – and what a talent she has!
