On Wednesday 1 May we tried our hands at making open and closed terrariums for the first time at Hengist Field Care Home.
After collecting jars, fish tanks, fish bowls and glass vases, plus different plants and accessories including air plants, fresh moss, springtails, charcoal, soil, gravel and little animals, we were finally ready to begin.
Firstly, we watched a step-by-step video to get some guidance and continued to follow it until it was time to decorate. Everyone chose what plants and stones, seashells and little figure they wanted in their terrarium and started to create their own design.

Apart from it being therapeutic, calming and creative, all of our ladies and gents loved making and creating their terrariums, and are already looking forward to making more to put around our Home for everyone to enjoy.
