Just a quick update about how our growing caterpillars are getting on here at Hengist Field Care Home.
On Friday 3 May one of the groups of caterpillars had turned into chrysalises, so we gently moved them into our butterfly habitat. They stay attached to their pot lid until they emerge.
By Saturday, the second group of caterpillars had also changed into their chrysalis form.
So now we are just waiting for them to change into beautiful butterflies which will be very exciting! We’ll post another update when that happens.
