One of our ladies, Hilary, lived with us here at Hengist Field Care Home for 10 years and was loved so much by everyone.
Sadly, she is no longer with us, but her daughter Lesley still comes to visit, especially on Hilary’s anniversaries. She sometimes brings our staff lovely homemade cakes and is always a pleasure to see.
This time when Lesley visited, she decorated the bench at the front of our Home in memory of her mum, specifically for the coronation of Charles III, as she knew her mum would have loved the day.
Lesley decorated the seat with flags, solar lights and flowers and it looks so beautiful.
