We had a fun-packed week here at Hengist Field Care Home on our visit to Egypt, as part of our virtual Nellsar mini cruise.
Our residents took part in Egyptian quizzes, leant lots of Egyptian trivia, ate delicious themed food, and had fun with Egyptian dressing up in front of our fantastic wall backdrops which added more atmosphere.
What an exciting week we had! We are all a bit more knowledgeable now about Egypt, the Pharaohs and dynasties, Queen Cleopatra, Tutankhamun, the pyramids and hieroglyphics.
We had a lovely Turkish menu featuring:
Falafel
Lamb kofta
Kusherie/Salata Baldi (rice and lentils/salad)
Basbousa (Semolina cake)
Roz Bi Laban (Rice pudding)
Our ladies and gents all thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and are already looking forward to our next virtual destination, which is Japan next month.
