On Wednesday 27 July, we had a fantastic trip out in our minibus with a group of our Hengist Field Care Home residents.
We enjoyed a lovely drive and sing-along to Minster and the Leas, where we all looked out to sea and had some fabulous reminiscence group conversations, with plenty of laughs and giggles!
From there we drove to the Harps Inn Pub, where everyone chose their favourite meal – which was absolutely gorgeous and washed down with a pint of bitter, lemonade shandy, apple juice or just a refreshing glass of water.
We then moved on to Leysdown, going down the main strip by all of the amusement arcades and slot machines, and chatting about the history of the place and how everything had changed.
Everyone chose an ice cream or lolly to enjoy while we admired the sea view once again, before we returned home.
Such a brilliant day!
