Hengist Field Care Home residents enjoy school Christmas Nativity

What a fabulous morning our Hengist Field Care Home residents spent last week at the Milstead and Frinsted School.

The school is in the countryside, just outside of Sittingbourne, and Karen, the daughter of our resident Betty, has worked at the school for 47 years and actually attended the school herself as a small girl.

Karen invited us to come and watch the children perform their Christmas Nativity play. Wendy, another of our ladies, has two grandsons that attend the school and one was playing the part of Joseph – so it was not to be missed!

We were offered tea and biscuits when we arrived, which went down a treat as the weather was pretty cold that day. The Nativity was wonderful and the children played their parts superbly; we enjoyed it so much.

The children then sang ‘Happy Christmas‘ to us before we left and had made some Christmas cards for us, and some extra ones to be given to residents back at Hengist Field, which was such a kind gesture.

Huge thanks to Karen and everyone at Milstead and Frinsted School for allowing us to come and enjoy such a wonderful show, it was absolutely brilliant. We are also looking forward to seeing you all again this week, when you come to visit us for some carol singing.
