On Wednesday 13 July at our Cookery Club, our lovely residents at Hengist Field Care Home chose to make cheese straws, chocolate swirls, jam tarts, lemon curd tarts and treacle tarts.
It was a very busy baking afternoon, but so much fun! We made some of our own pastry, weighed out the ingredients, rolled out the pastry and then made our culinary delights.
Once they were baked and ready to taste, we tucked right in! Wow they were tasty, all washed down with a lovely cuppa.
What a delicious afternoon!
