Friday 26 February was a sad day for us at Hengist Field Care Home, but a new beginning for our most loved Activities Coordinator, Sue Randell.
Sue has been with our Hengist Field family from the day our Home opened; she can even remember hanging the curtains in the rooms!
She has brought so much love and laughter throughout the years, first as a Carer and then finding joy as an Activities Coordinator. She brought so much comfort and love to all who had contact with her.
Sue’s nickname is ‘Mumma Sue’ and she’s adored by both residents and staff. She will be truly missed, but we are excited for her as she starts her new journey to a relaxed life with her husband Ray.
Sue enjoyed a day of surprises! From unexpected phone calls, visitors, gifts and flowers, to plenty of booze, a stunning cake and balloons and decorations galore!
She was overwhelmed but she left Hengist feeling very much loved.
