All the fun of the Christmas Fair at Hengist Field Care Home

On Saturday 30 November we were excited to host our annual Christmas Fair here at Hengist Field Care Home.

We had an array of stalls selling Christmas crafts that our residents had made with support from our Recreation and Well-Being team; decorated bottles with lights in, hedgehogs made from books with the pages folded, wreaths made with artificial holly, berries and robins and little Christmas gardens.

We had a lovely Christmas cake donated, which we used for a ‘Guess the Weight of the Cake‘ competition. Our Recreation and Well-Being Coordinator Sue also knitted a clown which we put to good use in our ‘Guess the Name of the Clown‘ game.

We were delighted to have lots of lovely prizes donated for our raffle and to top it all, we were visited by the Grinch, who enjoyed posing for photos!

In the afternoon we had live music from Rock Choir who were absolutely brilliant! Huge thanks goes to Josie, Jane and the choir for coming in to entertain us all, we loved it!

Big thanks to our Recreation and Well-Being Coordinators Jacqui, Karen and Mihaela who worked very hard on the day to add lots of sparkle and fun to the event.

We are thrilled to have raised £177 on the day and £102.50 from the raffle, which will go towards our Residents Fund.

Thanks to everyone who came and made it such a special day.
