World Book Day
What a blast we had here at Hengist Field Care Home on Thursday 7 March as we celebrated World Book Day together.
We had some great outfits from Little Red Riding Hood, Cat in The Hat, Maleficent and more, and enjoyed group discussions about our favourite books, childhood reads and authors. Great fun!
Happy Birthday to George
In the afternoon we had a birthday celebration for our wonderful volunteer George. We all sang ‘Happy birthday‘ to him, presented him with cards, gifts and a beautiful fishing cake, as George is a keen fisherman who enters fishing competitions!
Our Operations Manager Silvia gave a lovely speech about George which made him a little emotional. George does a fantastic job here at Hengist Field and is loved by everyone.
