What a fun day we had here at Hengist Field Care Home on Friday 21 October for ‘Wear It Pink’ Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
The day provided an opportunity for us to reach out to our staff, friends and families to spread the key message of breast cancer awareness – the importance of regular self-examination and early detection.
Our staff and residents dressed in pink and we enjoyed a fun photoshoot. As part of the day we also ran a number of themed activities including ‘Guess how many pink smarties are in the jar‘, Bra Pong, karaoke singing and a raffle to win a very large cuddly rabbit!
A brilliant day to raise the profile of a very important cause.
