A brilliant time was had by all on St Patrick’s Day this week at Hengist Field Care Home.
Our lovely residents enjoyed a delicious lunch menu, which included roast turkey, Irish stewed mushrooms, apple crumble and a trio of mousse Irish style! And we enjoyed some Guinness tasting of course!
And the day wouldn’t be complete without some Irish dancing by some of our Recreation and Well-Being staff, which everyone found hilarious! Not quite Riverdance!!
Everyone enjoyed watching the real thing as we tuned in to watch Michael Flatley in Lord of the Dance which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Our ladies and gents had fun in their themed hats and enjoyed some Irish limericks and cakes. Our themed mocktails were delicious too – Lemon Basil Daiquiris or Sparkling Cucumber Lemonade!
We loved the celebrations!
