We are always on the lookout for new activities for our residents here at Hengist Field Care Home and we recently gave resin art a go. It was great fun and required great concentration.
Using little love hearts, small dried flowers, different shaped silicone moulds and resin, everyone delicately placed their chosen flowers and love hearts into the moulds. We also placed some string into the moulds so the resin art could be hung if wished.
After mixing the resin we gently poured it over the moulds, leaving it to set for 48 hours. And WOW – look how beautiful our resin art turned out!
Our ladies and gents were so pleased with the finished products, that we have lots more ideas and suggestions to try out in the future. They have kept some for themselves and some to give to their families.
