As it was National Pizza Day on Friday 9 February, our lovely Hengist Field Care Home residents made their own pizzas for their supper.
After the pizza dough had risen, they rolled out their bases into a circle and spread them with tomato pureé. They then got to work adding their favourite toppings from a selection of cheese, onions, peppers, mushrooms, ham and pepperoni – with lots of conversation, banter and laughter!
The pizzas were then cooked to perfection; they looked great, smelt gorgeous and tasted delicious, going down a treat for supper.
