We had a wonderful time here at Hengist Field Care Home on Friday 30 September, when we held our Macmillan Coffee Morning and Fundraising Day.
We hosted a ‘New and Nearly New Sale‘, had a ‘Guess the Weight of the Cake‘ competition and a Tombola, and our residents and their families, plus staff and management joined in the fun!
We had a fantastic selection of cakes made by our Chefs and donations of boxed cupcakes from our Local Tesco on Chalkwell Road – huge thanks to them!
Everyone enjoyed a slice of cake or a gorgeous cupcake with a lovely cup of tea, coffee or soft drink and joined in with lots of conversation and laughter.
We raised just over £100 to be sent to Macmillan Cancer Research. Well done and thank you to everyone who joined us to help raise this money for such a great cause.
