On Saturday 13 April we started up our Gardening Club again here at Hengist Field Care Home, now the weather is starting to get warmer and brighter.
We planted some tomatoes, wild flowers and sunflowers, so we are looking forward to seeing how they come along and who gets the tallest sunflower!
There were lots of green fingers and conversations about residents’ own gardens from the past – what they grew and how they grew it, the vegetables they grew and the many different flowers too, which was wonderful to hear.
Roll on the warmer weather and lazy days in the garden, having ice-creams and long summer drinks!
