Love was definitely in the air here at Hengist Field Care Home on Wednesday – it was a Valentine’s Day to remember!
As well as all our love hearts and decorations, we had some special couples sharing a romantic meal in our Orangery Lounge, with love songs playing in the background. Handmade Valentine cards were shared, and chocolates and roses were gifted to loved ones.
Our couples enjoyed chocolate-dipped strawberries, a roast turkey lunch with all the trimmings and a choice of dessert, with Asti Spumante with raspberries to enjoy with their meal.
All of our communities had a lovely day full of love and kisses. One of our Senior Carers, Lita, received a special delivery from her husband – a bouquet of red roses and a box of Milk Tray (…all because a lady loves Milk Tray!), with a packet of love heart sweets attached to the box of chocolates. How wonderful!
To top off our Valentine’s Day, we had a special visit from Nellsar’s Managing Director, Martin Barrett, who was full of smiles and compliments for our Home.
