On Thursday 11 November at Hengist Field Care Home, we all enjoyed a wonderful Irish themed day.
With Irish music playing in the background, our ladies and gents reminisced about visiting Ireland, shared their stories and discussed the myths of the Emerald Isle. It was lovely to hear lots of group conversation and see lots of naughty leprechauns during our fun photo shoot!
As part of the day, our Kitchen Team prepared a wonderful Irish-themed menu, which our residents thoroughly enjoyed; Irish Stew or Salmon, followed by Guinness brownies or Shamrock mousse. Delicious!
We finished up with an Irish quiz, to test our knowledge of this beautiful country.
