Hengist Field Care Home residents and local school children create handprint Christmas tree

For the past couple of months, our Hengist Field Care Home residents and children from Milstead and Frintsted Primary School have been working hard, drawing their handprints and writing Christmas memories on them to wish everyone a ‘Happy Christmas’. These were to make a decorated Christmas tree for the Tunstall Church Christmas Tree Fayre.

The tree looked absolutely wonderful in the church – really eye-catching and poignant. The meaning behind the tree was bringing young and old together and the hands represented these two generations reaching out to each other during this special time of year.

A huge thank you to Karen who is a teacher at Milstead and Frintsted School, for all her hard work, help and support with this fantastic collaboration, which had an absolutely brilliant outcome.

We look forward to working together again in the new year.
