Getting art and crafty at Hengist Field Care Home

Resin art

On Wednesday 5 July we spent a wonderful afternoon of fun and creativity at Hengist Field Care Home.

Resin art has become so popular at our Home and we have designed and made key rings, coasters, bookmarks, wind chimes and more – all created by our lovely residents.

We used dried flowers, miniature shells, dried leaves, miniature sweets, ladybirds, bumblebees and more for our latest set of creations. They are fantastic and have been so popular with our families, friends and staff as they are all so pretty.

Bird houses project

One of our art and crafts projects has been making bird houses and aren’t they looking brilliant!

We’ve used milk bottles, wood circles, moss, stones, gems and bark and our lovely residents have designed how they wanted their houses to look, with some having small toadstools and bumblebees on. Plenty of team work, with lots of conversation and laughter.

As the weather has been so gorgeous and hot, everyone enjoyed an ice cream or lolly while having a break from their masterpieces.
