Here at Hengist Field Care Home we are getting ready for spring!
We have a new potting shed going up in our garden with plenty of tools, gloves, soil and the many seeds we brought back from our trip to Dobbies Garden Centre.
So on Friday 24 March we started doing some potting together during our Gardening Club – mustard and cress, tomatoes, rocket, flowers and lots more.
Our lovely residents want to grow their own fruit, vegetables, salad items and lots of flowers. Now we have made a start, there will be no stopping us! The weather is getting warmer and we can start venturing outside so our residents can start planting in our designated area in our courtyard garden.
There are plenty of green fingers here at Hengist Field and they can’t wait to get stuck in – Charlie Dimmock and Alan Titchmarsh have nothing on us!
