We had a great afternoon here at Hengist Field Care Home last week when we organised a cheese and wine tasting afternoon for our residents.
As you can see by the photos, picking the right wine to go with your cheese and crackers, is very important and needs some thinking about!
Our tasty cheese selection included cheddar, red Leicester, cottage cheese, Dairylea, smoked applewood, Wensleydale with cranberries, cheddar with pickle and onion, blue stilton and more.
Everyone in our lounge tucked in with enthusiasm and our ladies and gents who were in their rooms thoroughly enjoyed the experience too, trying the different cheeses and of course a cheeky glass of red or white wine to go with it.
The tasting was a very big hit – we definitely think we’ll be food tasting again soon!
