Our resident Kath at Hengist Field Care Home has a beloved knitted doll, which she keeps with her at all times. She has had her doll for many years and loves cuddling her.
Unfortunately the doll’s face had been ripped and her stuffing was coming out, so she was a bit worse for wear, which was upsetting for Kath.
So, our amazing Sue Randall from our Activities Team came to the rescue! She’s brilliant at knitting and crocheting and saved the day by reconstructing the doll’s face.
Kath was absolutely over the moon to have her doll back in one piece and it was lovely to see them reunited.
Thank you to Sue for going ‘above and beyond’ to make Kath so happy.
