Here at Hengist Field Care Home, we held a Christmas Afternoon Tea for our residents on Wednesday 18 December. There were yummy mince pies, sausage rolls, finger sandwiches with an assortment of fillings, banana cake and chocolate cake, tea and coffee. And let’s not forget the mulled wine!
We had an array of Christmas music playing in the background which set the mood, along with an inflatable Christmas Tree! After tea and cakes had been eaten, and mulled wine had been drunk, the Recreation and Well-Being staff warmed up their vocal chords and entertained the residents with a few Christmas songs. From Jingle Bells to We Wish You a Merry Christmas, the residents votes for the best festive tune for 2019 are still out!
A good afternoon was had by all.
