To mark the start of Wimbledon, staff and residents Hengist Field Care Home had a lovely afternoon watching it on television and enjoying a glass of Pimms and lemonade with strawberries and cream – it would be wrong not to!
Pimms always goes down well and Wimbledon is popular with our residents – they enjoy watching all the famous faces play, and it also sparks reminiscence about older players Bjorn Borg, Jimmy Conners, Martina Navratilova, Andre Agassi, The Williams sisters and of course the brilliant but feisty John McEnroe.
