Balloon volleyball
At Hengist Field Care Home last week we decided to mix up our gentle exercise with some balloon volleyball fun – and a little bit of healthy competition between our Horsa and Orca Units!
The balloon wasn’t allowed to touch the floor, so our residents had to be nimble to keep it going.
There was lots of gigging and laughing and hard work exercise-wise, without knowing it!
Great fun and it just shows that exercise doesn’t need to be a chore.
World Chocolate Day
We also celebrated maybe the best day of the calendar year – World Chocolate Day!
Our Willy Wonka chocolate trolley was taken around our Home for our residents to have a taste – chocolate milkshakes, chocolate buttons and twirls bites to name a few!
We had no complaints, only happy noises of chocolate chewing! Yum!
