We placed the finished feeders around our gardens, in good view, to attract plenty of birds.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday 27 January we <strong>sat watching the birds who visited us and made notes of the birds we had seen<\/strong> and how many, over the course of an hour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We were delighted to spot a woodpecker, three pigeons, one robin<\/strong> and<strong> a crow<\/strong>. Our garden wasn\u2019t that busy, but we were pleased with the birds we saw and enjoyed lots of group conversation. Our residents spoke about the birds they&#8217;d seen and also different birds they had spotted when they had gone abroad on holiday.<\/p>\n<p>To keep everyone going, we brought out a<strong> hot chocolate trolley<\/strong> and offered hot chocolate with squirty cream and marshmallows.<\/p>\n<p>What a lovely time spent together, with plenty of <strong>conversations and relaxation<\/strong> as we looked out over our garden and fields. <em>Tweet tweet!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here at Hengist Field Care Home, we enjoyed preparing for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch by making some bird feeders for our feathered friends.
