In the afternoon of Thursday 11 August here at Hengist Field Care Home, we had a fantastic time doing more arts and crafts for our upcoming “Woodstock Festival Event” on Friday 2 September.
We painted large cardboard letters to make the words ‘peace and love’ and we also made bracelets with lovely brightly coloured beads.
During the activity, we were reminiscing, remembering and having group conversations about the Woodstock Festival in August 1969 – a three-day music and art fair of peace and love, held on a dairy farm in Bethel, New York.
Everyone remembers “Woodstock” so it made for a great topic of conversation
