Friday 11 March was such a fun, fantastic day for everyone here at Hengist Field Care Home. We embarked on our “Through The Decades” celebrations with the best of the 50s 60s and 70s music with Kevin Walsh.
Our residents ate a yummy lunch of battered cod or chicken casserole, followed by fruit salad and evaporated milk or artic roll. And they had a classic evening snack of “Diner hot dogs and milkshakes.”
Our Recreation and Well-Being team wore fantastic outfits and singer Kevin Walsh sang some fabulous songs. Our residents got into the groove with some dancing in their chairs, singing along, foot tapping and clapping to the tunes!
It was a great day that everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Kevin was our first entertainer able to come and perform for the residents for quite a while, so it was brilliant!
