We celebrated World Food Day at Hengist Field Care Home on Tuesday 15 October, with a food tasting session in the afternoon.
World Food Day is an international day celebrated every October around the world in honour of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations in 1945.
Our Recreation and Well-Being Coordinator Jackie organised the afternoon, selecting all the foods and producing an abundant display of delicious savoury treats for our residents to try.
And try they did! Our residents, family members and staff all loved sampling the wonderful flavours and textures from all over the world including Spain, India, China and The Netherlands.
