Fundraising Fete and Pet Therapy
We had a great week last week here at Hengist Field Care Home – receiving a visit from two beautiful Bernese Mountain Dogs on Wednesday 15 August. Typically, these dogs are very peaceful and sociable – perfect therapeutic company for our residents, who can now look forward to seeing these gorgeous dogs for Pet Therapy sessions every Wednesday.
Thank you to everyone who helped out and visited the Home during our annual summer fundraising fete on Saturday 18 August – we raised an amazing £509.80 for St Peter and Paul Church in Borden for their stained glass window renovations. This is our local church and we have great ties with them and the local community. Rob T and his Ukulele provided great entertainment – outside in the garden thanks to such great weather!
