Here at Hengist Field Care Home we were so saddened by the passing of our sovereign Queen Elizabeth II last week and we have created a beautiful memorial corner dedicated to our longest reigning monarch.
The display includes daily news papers, beautiful pictures, printed booklets and flowers – we are also in the process of making a Book of Condolence, which our residents and staff are eager to sign with their personal messages.
Our residents take comfort from sitting at the memorial corner, looking at the pictures, reading the papers and taking in all the stories about the Queen and her life.
We thank you for your long service Ma’am. Your duty is done, may you rest in eternal peace with your beloved Philip.
