For Remembrance this year, we were honoured to welcome our Chaplain, Pat Tatchall, to Hengist Field Care Home to lead a small but meaningful service, where we came together to reflect and observe the traditional two-minute silence.
Our resident Terry shared a deeply personal connection to the day. He had a few cherished poppies, each holding special memories. To help preserve and display them with pride, lovely Jo from our Activities Team created a beautiful picture for him – now proudly hanging in his room.
Each poppy tells its own story: one symbolises Terry’s grandfather who served bravely during the war; another was a touching gift from a lady who has sadly passed away. What a beautiful tribute to their memory.
