Last week, staff member Sharon brought in her lovely dog Heston to visit our residents at Hengist Field Care Home.
A handsome brown chihuahua, Heston brought so much joy and lots of smiles to those he came in contact with, whilst enjoying all the attention and fuss!
Being able to be up close to pets really stimulates our residents and it can bring out happy past memories of pets they’ve owned themselves, which is wonderful to see.

We were also delighted to welcome singer Peter Kneebone to our Home last week. He entertained us with a wonderful repertoire of songs and gave a truly professional performance with his impressive voice. His songs really uplifted us all and we hope he comes again soon!
Time for a Cuppa
This coming Wednesday 6th March we are hosting a ‘Time for a Cuppa‘ event at Hengist Field to raise awareness and money for Dementia UK.
We will be serving tea and cake in our Orangery from 2.30pm and everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a cuppa and a slice (or two!) of something delicious.
Our fundraising will run from 1-8 March, so we are hoping to collect as much as possible for this very worthy cause.
