On Friday 18 March we gathered together all of the wonderful donations we have collected from our staff, visitors and residents here at Hengist Field Care Home which are going to help the people of Ukraine.
We arranged to meet with January Lawman, Deputy Head Teacher at The Sittingbourne School (formerly known as Sittingbourne Community College) in the school’s reception, with some of the school children who helped carry the boxes and bags.
At the weekend three of the teachers drove to different destinations in Folkstone and Dartford to deliver the large amount of donations ready for the next stage of the distribution process.
Donations included various food items, homemade teddy bears and soft toys.
