Our residents here Hengist Field Care Home enjoyed a fantastic day trip out to Quex Park in Birchington this week.
We sat and had a cuppa at one of the cafés, with plenty of conversation, banter and bundles of laughter. We then had a lovely stroll around the park, seeing the animals, visiting the craft stores and looking at and naming some of the pretty flowers en route.
We then boarded the mini bus and drove to Minis Bay where we enjoyed our picnic lunch looking out to sea. Everyone tucked into a selection of sandwiches, banana cake, crisps, biscuits and drinks.
We even had a visitor of the flying kind – waiting for any leftovers and watching us intently! Of course we can’t visit the coast without an ice cream – which were rather large – but thoroughly enjoyed by all!
