After all the celebrations for the coronation at the weekend, we celebrated VE Day on Monday 8 May at Hengist Field Care Home and had a cracking afternoon!
Miss Holiday Swing came to sing for us and what a brilliant job she did. Holly sang songs by Vera Lyn, The Andrew Sisters, Glen Miller and many more, dressed for the occasion looking gorgeous and sounding amazing. At the end of the afternoon Holly sang patriotic songs to celebrate King Charles III coronation.
Our residents had such a great time, singing along and waving flags, and some wore Union Jack hats for the ocassion!
A fantastic afternoon to finish off a most memorable Bank Holiday weekend. Thank you Holly!
