Our residents had a lot of fun on Saturday 8 May when we celebrated VE Day at Hengist Field Care Home.
Unfortunately our singer Joy Day had to cancel, due to bad weather, but we didn’t let that stop the celebrations – we played lots of wartime songs and had a good old singalong with our residents instead!
Our staff really looked the part in their wartime and services uniforms and our residents enjoyed posing for VE Day photographs.
We served tea, coffee and cakes as part of the celebrations. Perfect!
