What a fantastic day we had here at Hengist Field Care Home last week, celebrating St Patrick’s Day!
We had great fun decorating our Home with themed decorations including a beautiful shamrock tree and themed St Patrick’s Day goodies and drinks trolley offering Baileys Irish Cream, Guinness, mint choc chip smoothies and lime cordial mocktails.
Whilst taking our trolley around to some of our rooms, a few of our visitors enjoyed a drink with their loved ones…we checked that everyone was over 18! Ha!
We played Irish music in our lounge so there was plenty of foot tapping, while everyone had a good giggle putting on Irish hats or holding our Irish props.
Everyone loved their St Patrick’s Day lunch, which was a choice of Irish lamb stew or Colcannon broth, followed by chocolate pots de creme or Baileys French toast. Yum!
