On Thursday 27 October our ladies and gents here at Hengist Field Care Home enjoyed an extremely spook-tacular arts and crafts day.
Spiders, pumpkins, witches, bats and many other scary things were involved to get everyone in the Halloween mood!
Everyone choose to either decorate a pumpkin, colour in a Halloween picture or make a paper autumn wreath – using a wide variety of craft items including crayons, paint, tissue paper, pipe cleaners, stickers and glitter, to name just a few. Everyone’s wonderful creations decorated our Home for Halloween.
Arts and crafts are a great way for our residents to express themselves, use their own ideas and promote their individuality, all the while having fun with their peers and reminiscing about their own past experiences.
