Our ladies and gents enjoyed a fantastic Country and Western themed day here at Hengist Field Care Home on Friday 14 October.
Our Activities Team and some of our other staff members went ‘all out’ wearing full wild west costumes and our residents had a surprise visit from ‘Hengist the horse‘ and his gun slinging cowgirl rider!
Our residents in their rooms were surprised to see a horse at their bedside and everyone had fun posing for photographs, some wearing wild west props.
In the afternoon we were joined by singer Jasmin who entertained our residents with a wide selection of country songs, which brought out the line dancers amongst us!
There was lots of fun, singing and dancing and some even said that they ‘wanted to do it all again tomorrow!‘
Kay our Head Chef and our Catering Team made our residents’ wild west experience even more authentic by cooking a very tasty sausage and bean casserole – so everyone had wild west fun and very warm and full tummies!
